iPass is the reason I moved to California. Gary Fowler, VP of Mobile Engineering, gave me an opportunity to join their Mobile team back in 2013. I started as a Sr. iOS Engineer and moved to a dual-role as iOS Tech Lead / iOS Product Manager. During my time there I championed and implemented remote push notifications, speed test, hotspot blacklisting, FHIS as well as a complete UI refresh.
